Description
In the poor districts of the County of Durham in Ireland a young boy feels stirring of excitement from dancing. He pursues it with a local ballet dance class, while secretly not going to his boxing lessons that his father pays for. It eventually all comes out when he is put forward for an audition to the Royal Ballet. Set in the dirt poor locale of coal mining towns, and the brutish thuggery of labor unions demanding more money, it contrasts that thuggery and violence against the wonder and beauty of ballet.
